Seaton - Beer - 8 November

Good weather, great walk

The weather was kind for Phil and Vanessa's walk from Seaton tower via Holyford Woods Local Nature Reserve to the coast at Beer.  We returned via the coast path to Seaton Hole and back through woods with views of the sea across to Axmouth and the estuary in the valley.  The sun set whilst walking through the woodland area.  This circular walk extended to around 6.4 miles.  With this being a Phil walk, there were some steep hills, and through the woods it scored a high mud rating - not surprisingly, perhaps, given the amount of rain falling on the area in recent weeks.

This was a really enjoyable walk taking us into parts we had not visited before.  Thanks go to the leaders, and to TD, who drafted the report.
