Walk 13 December

This varied walk made the most of the cool but sunny weather to lead us along country lanes, through farmland, and along pathways.  It presented lovely views of the Exe valley and surrounding countryside from the higher ground travelled.  Some ancient farm buildings and houses were passed, as was the village's ancient water supply. Besides the inevitable hills, we encountered, not surprisingly, some muddy areas, especially by the Little Dart River. Although the soaking experienced over the past few weeks has abated, it is clearly going to take some time for the countryside to dry out.

There was a lovely sunset after the walk ended.

Our thanks go to Bob for devising and leading a walk in an area not explored by the group for some while.
