Meet at 1pm start in the car park behind the church at Newton Poppleford (Grid Ref: SY085897), for a 6.5ml fairly easy walk taking in part of the East Devon Way. Optional Coffee/Cake at Otterton Mill after.

Annual New Year Treasure Hunt 2013.  Meet at the coach/car park off the A379 heading into Dawlish from Exeter.  The walk will start promptly at 1.00pm. You will need:Clipboard with waterproof cover, pencil/pen and torch.

Meet at 1pm at Fryingpans Car Park Grid Reference SY037850 for a 4.75 mile walk on Woodbury Common. Will be muddy after rain.

Meet at 1.30p.m at the Land of Canaan Car Park in Ottery St. Mary for a 5 mile walk taking in Feniton and Taleford.

Meet at 1.30 for a walk in Great Haldon and Harcombe. Woods and countryside, mostly in the open, with some fine views of Dartmoor. Approximately 6 easy miles. A chance to see the famous Haldon black fallow deer. Meet at the car-park 894 824. Turn left off the A38 at the Haldon Forest Diner (just past the race course) going towards Plymouth. Car-park 1/2 mile from the A38.

Guided bird watching trip with Stuart Line. Meet at Exmouth Quay car park by 1pm to leave at 1.15pm. Cruise lasts about 3 hours. Hot drinks and light refreshments are usually available for sale on the boat, but you might prefer to bring your own. Cost is £10. Programme meeting with social evening/meal at the Aylesbeare Inn. Starting promptly at 7pm.

Meet at 12.30 in the lay-by on the B3180 from West Hill (just before the roundabout by the A30) to drive to Smallridge near Axminster. Park in All Saints Village Hall Car Park - Grid Reference ST305011 - for the start of an easy circular 7.5 mile walk through countryside and farmland. Will be muddy after rain.

Snowdrop Walk. Meet at the York Inn, Churchinford, grid ref ST213 126, Post Code TA3 7RF. Parking is limited, but if you are eating at the pub you can park outside the pub, otherwise park in the Village Hall Car Park. 


Sunday lunch is £6, £8 or £10 and booking is essential (01823-601333).  The walk starts at 1.30pm, will include Otterhead.  It is  4½ miles long and includes  lanes, fields, snowdrops and lakes. Gaiters are strongly advised as it could be muddy.
