Meet at Masons Arms Branscombe at 7pm for circular walk along undercliff and back along cliff top.

13 May

 

Meet at 1.30pm at Coldharbour Mill, Uffculme.   Park on road near to Mill car park.  Start from Mill car park gates for a level 6.5 mile walk along the valley of the River Culm to Culmstock and return.

Sunday

20  May

 

Meet at 1.30 p.m. at Staverton church to walk beside the Dart Valley railway line and through woods to Dartington Hall. After a walk through the gardens, return beside the river Dart – a gentle 7 miles. Car Share: Meet at 12.30 p.m. at the car park next to Sowton Park and Ride.

Picnic Walk.  Meet at Peak Hill Car Park, Sidmouth at 11.30am for a coastal walk to Budleigh Salterton.  An opportunity for a coffee stop at Ladram Bay en route.  Bring a picnic to eat on Budleigh Beach – coffee/tea/sandwiches can also be bought at the beach kiosk.  Catch bus back to Sidmouth – we will need to leave one car in town to take drivers to collect car/s.

Meet at The Golden Lion at Tipton St John. We will sort out permission to use the car-park. About 3.25 mile around Venn Ottery and the River Otter. Refreshments available on return.

Meet at 7pm at Manor Road car park in Sidmouth (opposite the Connaught Gardens). An exploration of Sidmouth with the option of a pub visit. 3¼ miles.

Joey the Lips Concert on the Imperial Recreation Ground, Exmouth organised by Exmouth Rotary club. To find out more click on their website - www.exmouthrotaryclub.co.uk.

If you buy tickets before the night they are only £8.

Meet at 1.30pm at Offwell, exact meeting place to be available later.   Walk will be either 6 or 7.5 miles long on unfamiliar lanes and paths and through unfamiliar terrain and woodland.

Meet at 7pm at The Lighter Inn,Topsham, for a walk in the area. Drink at The Passage after.

17 June

 

 

Meet at 1.30 p.m. outside Otterton Mill for a 7.5 mile walk in the Lower Otter estuary, including a stretch of the South West Coast Path. Opportunity for cream tea at Otterton Mill at the finish.

27 June

 

 

Meet at The Otter Inn at Colaton Raleigh (not the one at Weston near Honiton). We will sort permission to use the car-park. About 3.25 miles. Green lanes and above the River Otter. Refreshments available on return.

On your Bike!  Bike ride, round trip from Exmouth via ferry to Starcross. Refreshments on route, start time to be notified later.

Meet at 1.30 p.m. at Wootton Courtney off the A396 to Dunster. Free parking near the telephone box in the centre of the village. An undulating 8.5 mile circular walk over Wootton Common, Alcombe Common and Hopcott Common, with fine views of the Bristol Channel and South Wales. Opportunity for refreshements at Dunster halfway round. Car Share: Meet at 11.30 p.m. at the car park next to Sowton Park and Ride.

Meet at Killerton Main Car Park at 7 p.m. for a 3-4 mile walk through woodland and fields. Optional pub visit to the Red Lion in Broadclyst.

Meet at The Globe Inn, Sandford Peverell – Taunton end of the canal.  Come and support the pub beforehand and the walk will start at 1.30pm.

18 July

 

Meet in Sidbury public car-park (behind the Social Club). About 2.5 miles. Over Buckley Hill with fine views of the sea. Refreshments available in the Red Lion on return to Sidbury.

Meet for 1.30p.m. start at Flower Street Car Park in Woodbury for 5 mile circular walk up to common and down again. Optional tea at Woodland Tea House on the common afterwards.

25 July

 

Meet at 7pm at Dolphin Street Car Park (SY 246940). A walk around Colyton and Colyford with lanes and footpaths. Optional pub visit. About 3 miles.

Saturday

28 July

 

 

BBQ! 

Come from 6pm onwards to make the best of the daylight.

Bring along whatever you want to cook on the BBQ and either a salad dish or sweet to share + whatever you want to drink.

Sidmouth Folk Festival. Meet at 7.30pm outside the Bedford on Sidmouth seafront. Saunter around the town to take in the music and singing along the prom and in the pubs.
